Nice hats! I don’t have any but I’m contemplating on getting the sideshow Indiana Jones hats. Does anyone have them? If so how’s the quality?

It depends on what you are looking for, those hats are made by Dorfman Pacific and are the officially licensed hats you can get from Disneyland, etc. The crushable one is not a bad hat for the price, but the brim is far too large and it had no lining. The fedora is a bit nicer, but the crown is too short. They both have the wrong shaped tear drop on top.
So in short, they are okay hats. But they look absolutely nothing like the screen used hats. If that’s not important to you, go for it, as they are still good hats.

I would definitely recommend an Akubra Federation IV for your first Indy fedora.

If you’re looking for a nice hat and don’t want to spend too much while still looking the part I think there are a few better options out there. The advintage Harrison fed can be had for under 200 usd and while the price is big jump up from the sideshow, the quality is just superb. Absolutely nothing wrong with Sideshow or Dorfman Pacific hats but a nice rabbit or beaver felt factory made hat from Advintage or Akubra can last you a lifetime. Just noticed while finding those links that the Akubra Fed IV is currently on sale for 130 usd before shipping and you really can’t find a better deal than that! Whatever hat you chose if you decide to grab one I’d love to see it!

Federation IV (Open Crown)
The Federation IV is based on pre WW2 looks, and features a straight sided crown as common from the era. It is the closest hat we have to the Indiana Jones movie.

It's a Wested, though I'm not sure specifically which, as it was a gift from my Dad when I graduated High School long ago.

I got it back in 2006 and am really glad I got it when I did.

Here are my two. The lighter colour version is my Advintage Portuguese beaver fur and the darker one is a Penman beaver Raiders fur custom. In all honesty and just my opinion the Advintage one is way by far the better looking one. I know John Penmans is considered the best but his looks nothing like a raiders version, it lacks everything in shape, bash, crease and look whereas the Advintage looks like it has been taken right out of raiders. So again just my experience I would say avoid a Penman if you want an accurate raiders hat, Also the price for the Penman was more than double as these were both custom handmade versions.

I'm no expert, but it looks to me that the top/left one is probably a better copy for the prop that was the movie hat, whereas the other more accurately captures the spirit and memory of that hat.
A bit how the Yoda in The Last Jedi was made out of a literal replica mold of the Empire Strikes Back Yoda, but it didn't necessarily have the spirit of the ESB Yoda in its appearance.
What shade of sable is your Advintage? Sable or true-sable? I’m in the process of ordering from them and love the color of that fedora you have!
My Colour was Bright Sable.
